Aftercare

  • For gel treatments, it is recommended to book within 2-3 weeks of your appointment. For all other treatments, it is recommended to book within 3-4 weeks.
  • Wear gloves when washing up or having hands in water for a long period of time to help prevent lifting and chipping.
  • Apply cuticle oil once a day, preferably at night to help soak in the best. Can be applied around the nail and on the nail plate even with gel/biab on. Will help reduce dry skin around the nail and rehydrate and nourish the nail plate to help them last longer.
  • Your nails are jewels, not tools. Try not to open things using your nails or putting them unnecessary under stress as this could cause lifting, chipping or damage to the nail plate.
  • Don’t pick or peel the product off the nail plate as this can damage the natural nail by taking layers off with the product. If any lifting or chipping occurs, buff the part of the nail that is causing the issue until your next appointment, or come in sooner to get it redone ( could come with a charge. )
  • Avoid hot baths or showers or submerging your hands in water for the first 12 hours to help prevent lifting or chipping happening.
  • Drink plenty of water after your massage to rehydrate yourself.
  • Try and eat light meals for the rest of the day and avoid heavy, greasy foods.
  • Try and keep your schedule clear for the rest of the day if you can and relax as a massage can cause slight fatigue.
  • Avoid heavy work outs for 12-24 hours to avoid dizziness and fainting. Steady, short walks are recommended if necessary.
  • Limit caffeine and alcohol for at least 12 hours to avoid dehydration.
  • Avoid hot baths, showers and saunas for at least a few hours after your massage to prevent dizziness and fainting.
